Consoling Thoughts - You Are Not Alone

Humans are social animals. Since prehistory we have forged and depended on effortless bonds to those in our group. Unquestionably, recognizing and identifying prosopagnosia early would help enlighten others and assist a PPG affected person in avoiding  major obstacles.

Identifying this inability that makes social interaction so difficult,  should be a priority when you suspect someone you know or love is 'extremely poor' at recognizing others. By letting them know they are not alone and it is not their fault you can alleviate some of their stress and allow them to make mistakes without taking offence .

When someone learns early on that they have PPG they can plan  wiser choices of jobs or careers. They can tell others of their disability. They can learn more ways to compensate.

Though there's research being done there's still so many questions. What caused this, will it get worse, how rare is this , what nutrients should one try taking for it,  questions, questions, questions. Is it hereditary ? Are there physical signs on the brain ? What re-training is available for suitable work ? How do we identify ourselves to casual friends ? How do we tell family ?  Hopefully as we form and study our 'community' we'll get answers. In the meantime, put on your name tag if you visit me.

Thank you for visiting my PPG site, hope this information was helpful, or at least interesting. Let's 'face' it, I'd appreciate
your comments . Please go back to my
home page and sign my guestbook.
Oh, and look at my PPG scale. Where do YOU fall ?
